Bookbinding Leather

We carry both high quailty leathers from England, manufactured specifically for bookbinders and available in custom-split or traditional thickness. We also carry less expensive cow leather, which may also be used for bookbinding. It is recommended that you order sample books to see and feel the exact colors and textures.

Goat Leather

View All > Goat leather is the highest quality bookbinding leather available. The leathers are the strongest of the bookbinding leathers and preferred by most fine binders. They are ideally suited for blind tooling and gold stamping. Our leathers come to us from Harmatan in England.

Cow Leather

View All > Cow leather is an inexpensive alternative to goat leather. We now carry it in two thicknesses. Our thin cow leather can be used for most bookbinding projects while the more rugged, thick cow leather is great for wrap around journals.
