Workshop: From Plants to Paper

From Plants to Paper with Karen O’Neal. This class builds on earlier papermaking workshops. You will learn how to prepare and cook pulp from various fibers including cattails, pampas grass, milkweed, corn husks, and hosta. The Hollander beater, a large piece of equipment, is used to beat fibers from plants and recycled materials.  Papermaking experience is required. Participants will meet at the Out of Hand Paper Making Studio in Ann Arbor.
