Harmatan's Fine Leather goat skins are created using traditional methods at a small tannery in England. The leathers are vegetable tanned, produced specifically for fine binding. Traditional thickness leathers (1.0 mm) require some paring, while our split leathers (.65 mm) require minimal if any paring. All of our skins are classified as Grade III, which means they exhibit some markings, (scars, etc), but the markings and imperfections are minimal. Our goat leather prices are based on the price per square foot and the cost listed on our website is only an approximation. We will adjust the price on your order, depending on the exact size we have in stock. We will contact you if there is a price difference of greater than 10%. We recommend ordering a sample book to determine exact colors, thickness, and texture.
